GoalForecast respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when using the GoalForecast mobile apps for Android and iOS, the web app at cast.goalforecast.app, and the website at goalforecast.app.

GoalForecast is operated by ApricotApps OU, Tornimae tn 5, 10145 Tallinn, Estonia. ApricotApps OU is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us at info@apricotapps.com.
Information We Collect
Information you provide. We collect account information you provide, such as your name, email address, profile details, group membership, predictions, scores, and app activity needed to run private and public leagues.
Information collected automatically in the mobile apps. When you use the Android or iOS app, the advertising service we use (Google AdMob) automatically collects device and advertising data, such as your device’s advertising identifier, IP address, device and app information, and how you interact with ads. See “Advertising” below for details.
How We Use Information
- To create and manage your account, groups, invitations, predictions, rankings, and notifications.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and improve product performance.
- To send service-related messages, such as password resets, group invitations, and match result updates.
- To show ads in the mobile apps, which keep GoalForecast free, as described under “Advertising.”
Advertising
The GoalForecast mobile apps for Android and iOS show ads to keep the service free. Ads are provided by Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC and Google Ireland Limited.
What data is collected for ads. When ads are shown, the Google Mobile Ads SDK in our app may automatically collect and share with Google:
- your device’s advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID, or Apple IDFA where you allow it)
- your IP address and approximate location derived from it
- device and app information, such as device model, operating system, language, and app version
- information about how you interact with ads, such as views and clicks
- diagnostic data, such as crash and performance information related to ads
We do not share your name, email address, predictions, or group information with advertisers.
How this data is used. Google uses this data to deliver ads, measure ad performance, prevent fraud and abuse, and, if you consent, show ads personalised to your interests. Google acts as an independent controller of the data it collects. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and Google’s Privacy Policy.
Your consent and choices.
- EEA, UK and Switzerland: When you first open the app, we ask for your consent through a Google-certified consent message before personalised ads are shown. If you decline, you may still see non-personalised ads, which use limited data for frequency capping, fraud prevention and measurement. You can change your choice at any time in the app under Settings → Privacy choices.
- iOS: We only access your device’s advertising identifier if you allow tracking in the App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can change this anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Android: You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings under Google → Ads (or Privacy → Ads, depending on your device).
- You can manage the personalisation of Google ads in My Ad Center.
Legal basis. For users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, we process data for personalised advertising based on your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and the Swiss FADP). We process data for non-personalised ads, ad measurement and fraud prevention based on our legitimate interest in funding the service (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Web version. The web version of GoalForecast at cast.goalforecast.app and the website at goalforecast.app do not show ads.
Auth Token Storage
The web version of GoalForecast uses localStorage to store the auth token. It does not use cookies for web authentication.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited information:
- with service providers that help us operate GoalForecast, such as hosting and email delivery
- with Google AdMob, which receives device and advertising data from the mobile apps as described under “Advertising”
- when required by law
Data Retention
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information, unless we must keep it to meet legal obligations.
Your Choices and Rights
You may update your account information in the app. You can delete your account in the app or by emailing info@apricotapps.com.
If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use these rights, contact us at info@apricotapps.com. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, such as the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon) or the authority where you live.
International Transfers
Some of our service providers, including Google, may process your information outside the EEA and Switzerland, such as in the United States. Where this happens, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Children
GoalForecast is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, but no internet service can guarantee perfect security.
Changes
We may update this policy as GoalForecast evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date above.
